An Impressive Addition to Their Fleet: Davies Crane Hire Welcomes Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1

The Liebherr LTM 1060-3.1 crane is an advanced, three-axle machinery with impressive capabilities. It equipped with a six-sectioned 48 metre boom, along with a 9.5 to 16 metre bi-fold swingaway extension for maximum tip height of over 67 metres, and a 40-degree offset. This crane’s 12.8 tonnes of counterweight also abide by the United Kingdom’s strictest regulations on axle loads, allowing up to 16.5 tonnes to be carried.

Additional features include Liebherr’s ECOmode and ECOdrive systems, which aid fuel efficiency and minimize emissions, alongside their VarioBase variable outrigger setup and monitoring systems. Neil Davies, the firm’s director, stated that “the LTM 1060-3.1 is the class leader on three axles; we have further invested in Liebherr machines due to their versatility, service reliability and backup.”

Established by the Davies family in 1979 and headquartered in Carmarthen with depots in Port Talbot, Milford Haven and Cardiff, Davies Crane Hire is now considered to be one of the leading independent crane rental companies in the country. Their fleet includes a host of mobile and crawler cranes with capacities ranging from 8 to 400 tonnes.
